About Jay

I am a still life environmental portrait photographer based in the Midwest. Some of my best studio days are spent showing coffee grinders hard at work, making green beans glamorous, telling the story of a wayside alley basketball, and helping action figures take the best selfies.   I also love using forced perspective and studio craft to give Hot Wheels cars an equal opportunity on our city streets.  I have also made many friends in the insect world through my love of macro photography, and enjoy spending hours outdoors bringing their tiny world center stage through the lens.
